Arm Lift

Arm Lift

After excessive weight loss, unwanted skin sagging occurs on the arms and thighs. To get rid of this sagging, arm and thigh lift operations can be performed. Unfortunately, both surgeries result in long scars. However, especially patients who have undergone weight loss surgery can get rid of excess weight, can choose more comfortable clothes and increase their self-confidence after arm lift

This surgery results in a scar that starts from the armpit and extends to the elbow and is hidden in the medial arm. In this way, you will get rid of the sagging in the area between the armpit and the elbow. In my own practice, I combine all arm lift surgeries with liposuction. I believe the results will be more ideal this way.

We want you to wear a corset for 6 weeks after the surgery. This corset can sometimes cause swelling in the hands, but this swelling is completely temporary.

Frequently Asked Questions

The first day after arm lift surgery is the day when the pain is felt most intensely. In this process, strong painkillers are given to ensure the comfort of the patient. The pain gradually decreases and at the end of 1 week, most patients do not even need painkillers.

A few hours after the end of the surgery, we want to stand up and walk. If your profession is not performed with intense physical labor, you can return to work within 7 days. After 4 weeks, you can do cardio-heavy sports such as walking and cycling, and after 6 weeks you can start lifting weights.

We recommend quitting smoking 4 weeks before arm lift and not smoking for at least 4-8 weeks afterwards.

Liposuction is a suitable technique for patients with minimal skin and fat excess. Arm lift, on the other hand, aims to get rid of excess skin, especially on the arm. If there is already excess skin and sagging, only liposuction will increase this sagging. We decide together during the examination on the most suitable method for you.

If you pay attention to your diet and exercise, the chances of this happening will be much less. However, sagging can be seen again in patients with severe weight gain. Patients undergoing weight-loss surgery may require two-stage surgeries.
