The effect becomes visible in about 5-10 days. The duration varies between 4-6 months depending on the person and the brand of botulinum toxin used. It is recommended to be repeated after the effect wears off. It is not recommended to have botox injections at intervals shorter than 3 months
There is no age limit for Botox application. It can even be used in children for the treatment of some diseases such as strabismus. Botulinum toxin is considered a preventative treatment, especially when it comes to treating wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes. Sequential applications at an early age will reduce the need for botox in the future and prevent wrinkles from becoming permanent.
This is entirely up to your will. It is possible to adjust the dose according to the patient’s expectation.
It is a considerably safe procedure with minimal side effects. Rarely, it may cause drooping of the eyelid or asymmetry in the application area. These conditions can be treated. Even in cases where treatment cannot be achieved, side effects are completely temporary.
