Blepharoplasty surgery can be performed on both the lower and upper eyelids.

The skin fold that occurs with aging on the upper eyelid is removed with this surgery. In the lower eyelid, it is possible to get rid of both puffiness and excess skin. After the operation, a more youthful eyelid appearance is achieved.

It is an operation that can be performed with both local and general anesthesia. Although I usually prefer performing lower lid surgery under general anesthesia. The surgical scar is hidden in the natural fold of the eyelid and due to the unique structure of the eyelid skin, the scar becomes very thin and noticeable over time.

The first 2 days are the most intense period of bruising and swelling. We recommend the use of sunglasses during this period. While the bruise disappears in 5-7 days, it may take a few weeks for the swelling to go down.
